The newly merged Aldus-Tronics will bring the Mark Andy Digital One press to PacPrint 2017 for its first outing at an Australian show.

The Aldus-Tronics stand (F60) promises plenty of highlights, blending Aldus’ traditional strengths on the printing side with Tronics expertise in labelling and inkjet coding.

A prime showcase piece will be the Mark Andy Digital One press. Launched at LabelExpo in Chicago last year, it's built specifically for short run prime labels, and is presented as a simple, compact solution combining four-colour digital printing with in-line flexo converting and finishing.

The press is designed to free up capacity on high output flexo presses, and bring greater efficiency to fast turnaround work.

The substrate range covered includes pressure-sensitive stock (paper, BOPP, PET, PP), unsupported paper and tag stocks. Since no priming or coating is required, existing label stock can be used.

The first one of these presses has reportedly already been sold in Australia.

The company will also be demonstrating the latest model in the Rotoflex VSI label inspection rewinder series, the VSI-330.

The RotoFlex VSI is widely used in traditional label and printed roll-to-roll inspection, offering high levels of accuracy in demanding environments, consistent output and automated tension management, precision slitting and a user-friendly interface, among other features.

Other products to be exhibited on the Aldus-Tronics stand include the GM DC330 MINI digital finishing machine, a Marchetti flexo plate washing machine, Flexomaid anilox roll cleaning system and the new KDS Video web inspection system.

PacPrint 2017 takes place from 23-26 May at the Melbourne Conference and Exhibition Centre.
