The NSW Environment Protection Authority (EPA) has been named official partner of the Speaker Series program at this year’s Australasian Waste & Recycling Expo (AWRE).

Speakers will focus on issues facing the waste management industry now and into the future, and will address topics such as NSW EPA’s response to China’s National Sword Policy; the role of plastics in the circular economy; innovation in waste management; and the changing face of Australia’s waste sector.

The circular economy and Chinese policy are set to dominate discussions, but there will also be a showcase of products, sustainable solutions, and technology for collecting, processing and recycling waste.

Supporters and commercial partners will include the Waste Contractors & Recyclers Association of NSW (WCRA); Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation (APCO); Global GreenTag; Good Environmental Choice Australia (GECA); Australia and New Zealand Recycling Platform (ANZRP); and the National Waste and Recycling Industry Council (NWRIC).

The Australasian Waste & Recycling Expo will run on 29 and 30 August at the ICC Sydney, Darling Harbour.
