Planet Protector Packaging has received the 2024 AustCham Singapore Business Sustainability Award, presented by Investment NSW at an annual ceremony supported by the Australian High Commission Singapore and Qantas.

The award recognises companies that prioritise sustainability as a core aspect of their business strategy and operations. Planet Protector was nominated by Investment NSW for its innovative Woolpack cold-chain packaging solutions, designed for the life sciences and pharmaceuticals industries.

“We’re excited to expand into the Singaporean cold chain market and show the world that sustainable Woolpack packaging solutions are ready to disrupt outdated practices,” said Joanne Howarth, founder and CEO of Planet Protector.

Accepting the award on behalf of Planet Protector was Antony Warren, non-executive director at Eden Impact and a Singaporean investor. Commenting on the win via LinkedIn, Joanne Howarth, founder and CEO of Planet Protector Packaging, said it underscores the growing importance of sustainability in industries such as cold-chain logistics.

The company is expanding into the Singaporean market with its packaging solutions and aims to contribute to more sustainable practices in the region.

The AustCham Singapore Business Awards celebrate individuals and businesses strengthening the economic relationship between Australia and Singapore. Key criteria for the Sustainability Award include ties to both countries, alignment with global sustainability initiatives, and plans for innovative, sustainable growth.
