Amcor will demonstrate how recycled plastics are converted into new packaging at scale at the Plastic Recycling Show Europe 2026, taking place at RAI Amsterdam from 5–6 May.
The company’s stand (B120) will focus on how a circular approach can support customers in meeting regulatory requirements, including upcoming measures under the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation (PPWR), while maintaining performance in packaging applications.
Amcor will highlight its recycling capabilities across polyethylene (PE) and polypropylene (PP). Its mechanical recycling operations for flexible films produce specification-grade post-consumer recycled (PCR) material, including its Sustane recycled polymer, for use in non-contact-sensitive applications such as shrink and stretch films.
Its CleanStream technology processes household PP waste into recycled material suitable for contact-sensitive applications, including in the personal care sector.
The company will also present its work in advanced recycling, including a pilot at its Heanor site in the UK, aimed at expanding applications for recycled flexible plastics.
Gerald Rebitzer, vice president, sustainability & advocacy at Amcor, said, “Across Europe, increasing volumes of plastic waste are being collected and processed. The challenge continues to be the development and incorporation of high-quality recycled material into high-performance packaging.
“At Amcor, we combine recycling, material science and packaging expertise to convert recycled polymers into high-performance packaging, helping to close the loop in practice.”
Amcor said its circular approach is supported by in-house recycling capabilities and sourcing partnerships across the value chain. Its Innovation Centers will also be highlighted for their role in material development and testing.
Alongside the exhibition, Mike Baxter, director government relations at Amcor, will take part in a panel discussion, “What Next for Plastics Packaging?”, at the PRSE Conference on 6 May.
Baxter said, “We’re looking forward to engaging with recyclers, feedstock suppliers and partners across the value chain to explore how we can scale the use of recycled material in packaging applications.”
