One hundred medals were presented at the Media Super National Print Awards this month.

The Melbourne-based awards night saw 29 Gold, 31 Silver and 40 Bronze winners across 32 categories and sub-categories.

In the packaging category, the gold award was won by entrant Rooster IMC, for the Herbanica Hand Cream pack.

The gold in offset labels went to Multi Color Griffith for the Handpicked Collection label produced for DMG Fine wine, and printed on a Gallus TCS.

Multi Color Griffith also took the gold in the 'Labels other than Offset' category, for the Napoleone cider label produced for Punt Road Wines and printed on a Nilpeter letterpress.

Victorian printers were the clear leaders, with a total of 14 gold medals from an overall tally of 40.

Adams Print took out five Gold, four Silver and one Bronze Award, and Press Print took home four Gold and three Bronze.

Other multiple award winners included Advance Press from WA, Design Works College of Design, Queensland, IPMG and Multi Colour Griffith, both from NSW, and Nulab Group and Rooster IMC from Victoria, each of whom took home two Gold.

Gold Awards were not made in the new Typography, Illustration or categories, but the inaugural Corporate Identity Award went to Design Works College of Design for ‘Larksbury Branding’ designed by Graphic Design student Esther Larkin.

She also took out the new Student Award, which focused on the unpublished concepts or printed self-promotional piece from design students.

This year’s Printing Industry Legend, presented by the Awards’ major sponsor Media Super, is Arthur Frost of Lamson Group, a professional whose career began selling pens and paper on trams.

Coles Group has reported steady growth in its first-quarter results for FY26, driven by a strong supermarket performance. Total group sales revenue rose 3.9 per cent to $10.96 billion, with supermarket sales up 4.8 per cent to $9.97 billion.

Winners of the 2025 Australian Sparkling Wine Show have been announced, with Tasmanian wines taking out all four major trophies, three of them by Treasury Wine Estate’s Heemskerk Wines.

The annual Product of the Year Awards (POY) has confirmed one of the dominant and enduring consumer trends when it comes to food and beverage choices – personal health. NielsenIQ research, commissioned by POY, found 74 per cent of us are focusing on products that support energy, fitness, better sleep, stress relief, and brain function. This year was dominated by private label products, accounting for 68 per cent of winning products.
