The Australian Institute of Packaging (AIP) has announced its line-up of speakers for the technical dinner in Oatlands NSW next month.

International guest Fernando Costa Almada, Braskem S.A.'s technical sales manager (Asia and Oceania), will present a paper on the company's I'm Green PE, which was first produced on a commercial scale in 2010 and has boosted its reputation in the field of biopolymers. Braskem is known for its research into renewable chemistry and offers products made from renewable raw materials.

Other speakers will include Diageo Australia's packaging technologist Marlene Cronje-Vermeulen, who will focus on the relationship between packaging and product and the interfaces between packaging and production lines; and Blackmores' environment and sustainability manager Jackie Smiles, who will describe the journey from concept through to commercialisation for the company's award-winning Amber Bulk Packs.
