PrintEx15 has wrapped up for another year, with organisers reporting over 6000 visitors attended its new home at Sydney Olympic Park.

Around 67 per cent of PrintEx15 visitors came from NSW, 12 per cent from Victoria, seven per cent from Queensland, two per cent from WA and another five per cent from other states. A further seven per cent came from overseas destinations, including New Zealand, which made up four per cent of total visitors.

Half those attending were business owners or top-level managers, and it is believed millions of dollars of business was transacted during the show.

Chairman Phillip Rennell said there was a “constant buzz” around the stands, generated by the genuine interest and expectation shown by those in attendance.

The final day was rounded off with an industry ‘night of nights’ at the Media Super National Print Awards. Gold winner in the packaging category was Custom Cartons, and in labels was Collotype Labels, which won gold in both the 'offset' and 'other than offset' categories.

“PrintEx15 has demonstrated that in today’s challenging multi-channel world trade shows are as valuable as they have ever been, both for both exhibitors and visitors,” said Rennell.

“As always, one of its most valuable contributions is the energy and optimism a trade show such as PrintEx generates. We hope this sense of optimism and confidence will translate into an industry ready to embrace and capitalise on the exciting new ideas and opportunities which will help make their businesses ‘fly’.”
