Social enterprise Thankyou has made changes to its nappy range and packaging.

It entered an already crowded baby care market mid-2016 with striking black packaging for its nappies and baby care products in a move that would help it give more to global projects aiding those in need.

Thankyou has continued in its product development by improving the matte finish on the box so it will scratch less in transport; adding a third facing so the boxes can be stacked into many different configurations on shelf; and added an embossed sticker to differentiate the new version of the nappy from previous boxes.

The new Thankyou nappy also offers improved absorbency, with triple-layer technology.

Accelerated dispersion layer (ADL) technology makes liquid disperse evenly throughout the nappy for up to 12 hours protection, according to the company.

The nappies also feature monochrome prints and slimline design, making them "skinny-jean friendly".

100 per cent of profits from the range helps get child and maternal health to families in Nepal and Zimbabwe.

Food & Drink Business

Fonterra has announced Anna Palairet is the new chief operating officer, having acted in the role since June 2023. CEO Miles Hurrell says Palairet has “extensive experience in operational, customer, sustainability, and sales roles”.

Food & Drink Business editor Kim Berry's take on the big news stories this week, and what caught her eye overseas. How will the Future Made in Australia Act actually be delivered? Shanghai trials traffic light labelling, and Solar Food, making protein out of (virtually) nothing at all, opens its commercial scale facility (that's it in the pic).

Food Frontier’s industry leading annual alternative proteins conference, AltProteins 24, is on in Melbourne on 10 October, with early bird tickets now available.
