The CEO behind the startup which links brands with influential customers through social media channels has been recognised for his work.

The TRIBE platform, which founder Jules Lund spoke about at the Food & Drink Business and PKN Future Unpacked event in August, was created to drive sales for brands by connecting them "influencers" on Instagram and Snapchat.

The company's CEO Anthony Svirskis was named Start-up Executive of the Year at the 2017 Executive of the Year Awards last week.

Over the past 12 months, Svirskis has strengthened TRIBE’s position in Australia while taking the brand globally and increasing revenue by 390 per cent.

TRIBE launched in Australia two years ago and was successful in raising enough investment capital to grow its presence in Australia before expanding into the UK earlier this year.

According to Svirskis, the startup is now scoping out future opportunites in Asia.

The TRIBE model works best with influencers who only have a few thousand followers.

Influencers simply need to find brands that they already use and are a fan of. They can then create a post for that brand and submit it for review. Once approved, they are paid within 48 hours.
