Seven Australian packaging design agencies have been recognised in a global competition celebrating on-pack creativity.

The 10th annual Pentawards received 1843 entries from five continents and 54 countries.

In addition to the Diamond Pentaward and the five Platinum Pentawards, the international jury awarded 47 Gold Pentawards among the 55 categories.

Silver and Bronze Pentawards were also given, and a total of 34 countries were represented.

A Gold award was presented to Sydney design agency Squad Ink for its work on behalf of Sydney's The Grounds of Alexandria.

In the Silver category, Cadbury was recognised for its limited edition and limited series Favourites boxes designed by Brand Society's Chris Wilson, Nina Kelly, and Sam Holliss.

Body care brand Baré also brought home a silver award for its Bespoke Natural Extracts product.

Depot Creative's Angela Spindler worked on the packaging design, assisted by industrial designers Andrew Simpson and Charlie Payne, cardboard engineer/ designer Sarish Shashidhar, photographer Steven N Meyers, label printer Impresstik, and box printer Hannapak.

Another silver went to The Creative Method/ Label and Litho Printers for its Christmas self-promotion.

Designers Tony Ibbotson and Lee Nichol worked on the personalised wine bottle labels.

In the Bronze category, a fairtrade coffee brand called Rio Coffee was recognised for design work by Voice.

Creative directors Anthony De Leo, Scott Carslake and designers Anthony De Leo and Shane Keane worked together to create the look with finished artist Shane Keane and illustrator Chris Ballasiotes.

Boxer & Co was also recognised with a bronze for its designs for contact lens brand ProVision.

Designer Danka Gralik worked with creative director Mark Haygarth to create the stand-out packaging look.

The seventh Australian winner was d'Arenberg - The Supers, which had its limited edition wine labels designed by Voice creative directors Anthony De Leo and Scott Carslake, and designer, finished artist, and illustrator Kieran Wallis.
