Queensland-based PAC Solutions has made the trip down to AUSPACK PLUS in Sydney to launch its new identity as a distributor of hot and cold glue dispensing equipment.

PAC Solutions (Packaging Adhesive Equipment  & Consultants Pty Ltd)  was, up until recently, known as N Clarke Service and despite the new name is an industry veteran, having been formed in 1998.

“AUSPACK PLUS 2013 was the ideal opportunity to launch the new company name and logo and is indicative of the company’s focus on providing solutions for the packaging industry,” managing director Norman Clarke said.

PAC distributes dispensing equipment from Valco Melton of the United States and Spain’s Vansco, and also offers such services as consultancy, sales and service, customised installations, troubleshooting and spare parts.

Lending a hand on the PAC stand was Herb Penner from Valco Melton and Jeremy Ferreras from Vansco, who made the trip to Sydney specifically for the show.
Headquartered in Brisbane, PAC Solutions services businesses Australia-wide as well as in the Pacific Islands.

Clarke said the company makes a point of its speedy response to service calls.

“I’ve seen what happens when a component of a production line fails, it becomes stressful very quickly.  We respond as soon as we are aware of the problem and try to minimise downtime,” he said.

He said the company supplies to such manufacturers such as Visy, Carter Holt Harvey, Amcor, CSR, Kimberley Clark Australia and Boral.

Food & Drink Business

End Food Waste Australia (EFWA) and Hort Innovation have launched a new research program to tackle the challenges of harvest surplus and losses on-farm – a $2.5 billion opportunity for vegetable growers.

The federal government has confirmed it will not proceed with the Tax Laws Amendment (Incentivising Food Donations to Charitable Organisations) Bill 2024, saying the legislation contains “deficiencies that compromise its policy intent”, even as food insecurity remains at record levels across Australia.

A lot of food and beverage brands look strong when they’re small. They have one product, one pack, one clear idea and then they grow. That’s usually when things start to unravel, not all at once, but quickly enough to matter. The Creative Method founder and creative director, Tony Ibbotson, explains why – and growth is not the problem.
