Packaging equipment supplier Fibre King is looking forward to a successful year on the back of a $130m project in the United Arab Emirates and the appointment of a new managing director.

Fibre King recently appointed James Windsor as MD, who is the fourth generation of Windsors to take the helm, and he has his sights set on global growth and innovation.

“Our recent successes delivering projects into the Middle East and Europe demonstrate that we are capable of supplying high quality equipment to multinationals who often have a very specific build requirement,” Windsor said.

“We were recently judged to be the highest performing supplier on a US$130M Greenfield project in the UAE, which is a testament to the strength and flexibility of our team.

“Our challenge for the future is to exceed these expectations on service and innovation.”

Windsor has stepped up to the helm following the departure of Earle Roberts, who was CEO of Fibre King for the last 10 years and part of the Fibre King and R.L Windsor Group since 1993.

He resigned in April to pursue a role outside the packaging machinery industry.

Led by Windsor, Fibre King is set to expand further over the next three years as part of the company's growth strategy.

Heading up the manufacturing team is Suren Moodley, who also leads the well-established Oryx Automation Thailand – a division of Fibre King.

The group’s engineering team, managed by Dale Sinclair, is primarily based in Brisbane, with new engineering and programming resources now being established in Thailand to support expansion into new markets.

The focus on innovation and continual improvement is ongoing, with Greg Constantinidis leading the development of new products.

Sales and marketing for the group is led by Emma Townsend.

“The changes we've implemented across the business over the last three years are now coming to fruition,” Windsor said.
