When you operate in 10 countries throughout a region, you listen to a lot of views. Listening to a lot of views provides you with a lot of information. Information tends to be the birth mother of strong ideas.

Loscam has just launched a multi-bottle returnable beverage tray. Or, as you see it, a one-touch bottle return solution for the beverage and retail sectors.

The Loscam Beverage Tray was designed by logistics efficiency specialists, K Hartwall, for use in high speed production lines. It's the total solution for storing, moving and displaying beverage products direct to retail floor. It reduces product handling and packaging, improves product quality and increases retail in-store efficiency.

It's lightweight, hygienic and durable.

It has also been designed for the Australian market, holding all variants of our soft drink bottles - 1.25L, 1.5L, 2.0L and 2.25L.

The tray is one step ahead of the rest because its unique bottle holding mechanism - through the closure rather than the base of the bottle - makes the unit much more stable in transit. It improves safety during transportation and product presentation on floor.

George Tan, director of Slades Beverages, was happy to endorse the tray he has been using to supply product to Aldi:

“The tray has integrated very well into our automated production lines and its closure holding system is definitely much more stable under load than previous trays. We were also impressed with the Loscam solutions based approach. They worked closely with us to understand our needs and helped us through the implementation phase to ensure all parties got things right.”

Michael Donahoo, Loscam Head of Customer Solutions, added, “When combined with our plastic display pallet, the beverage tray has helped us provide a holistic solution to beverage manufacturers and retailers where we are helping save money on packaging and handling costs and at the same time helping retailers make the last 50 metres as efficient as possible”.

Food & Drink Business

A lot of food and beverage brands look strong when they’re small. They have one product, one pack, one clear idea and then they grow. That’s usually when things start to unravel, not all at once, but quickly enough to matter. The Creative Method founder and creative director, Tony Ibbotson, explains why – and growth is not the problem.

Victorian-based Aquafab has completed a $620,000 Series A raise through Birchal, supported by over 300 investors. The company told Food & Drink Business that the funds will support continued national growth and plans in place to enter the US and UK markets this year.

Rumin8 is accelerating its methane reducing feed additive commercialisation progress in New Zealand, garnering $4.4 million (US$3 million) in investment as the company prepares to enter the final trial process.
