Devondale has launched a game-changing cup in the 8-Bar Iced Coffee series.

The modern take on a coffee cup is a break-away for the traditional Australian iced-coffee category but reflects European trends.

Designed by QDesign Enterprises and commissioned by Cryovac Sealed Air, the cup comes with a two-stage, leak-resistant sipper-style lid when the foil seal is removed and the lid is clipped back onto the 8-Bar cup.

Once pushed down, a secondary row of lid undercuts moulded into the underside of the lid, together with an internal sealing flange profile, effectively lock the lid more securely onto the cup.

This feature gives added confidence that the product will not leak out between the cup flange and lid when the drink is consumed on-the-go or in the car.

A small air vent is added on the opposing side of the spout to improve the flow of liquid during consumption and to avoid any glugging.

Branding on the sipper lid is achieved via a chunky, visually embossed "8".

The name 8-bar represents the typical pressure that espresso is extracted at in a cafe environment.

This brandmark provides impact without confusing or detracting from the main cup-face branding and colour graphics.
