On 9 April, Cameron Dellar will speak to PCA members at the Packaging Council of Australia offices in Melbourne.

Dellar is ANZ Packaging Innovation Manager at H.J. Heinz Co. Australia Ltd. Heinz Australia is a $1 billion company with four manufacturing facilities and around 1100 staff. It has been around since the 1880s and has come a long way since its first Australian product, bottled horseradish, was packaged in Richmond, Victoria. Four generations of Australians currently think that Beanz means Heinz.

As you might have guessed already, Dellar knows a bit about packaging. He will share what he knows about:

  • The packaging scenario at Heinz

  • The role of suppliers – What does Heinz expect and what should the industry know?

  • Innovation – who drives it and how important is it?

  • Current trends both locally and globally

  • What lies ahead

How do you get to hear what he knows. If you're a PCA member, you register here.

And it's free.

If you're not a PCA member, perhaps it's time you considered joining?

Food & Drink Business

A lot of food and beverage brands look strong when they’re small. They have one product, one pack, one clear idea and then they grow. That’s usually when things start to unravel, not all at once, but quickly enough to matter. The Creative Method founder and creative director, Tony Ibbotson, explains why – and growth is not the problem.

Victorian-based Aquafab has completed a $620,000 Series A raise through Birchal, supported by over 300 investors. The company told Food & Drink Business that the funds will support continued national growth and plans in place to enter the US and UK markets this year.

Rumin8 is accelerating its methane reducing feed additive commercialisation progress in New Zealand, garnering $4.4 million (US$3 million) in investment as the company prepares to enter the final trial process.
