The trend towards dressing sparkling wines up in shrinksleeves has continued with the latest colourful offering from Yellowglen.

The wine company has launched a limited edition Rainbow Celebration Pack of its Yellow Brut Cuvée in time for an array of gay pride events, including the Mardi Gras in Sydney this weekend.

Featuring the colours of the LGBTI pride flag, the sparkling wine reflects Australia's fun-loving style, according to creative director Samantha Wills.

“This limited edition product is a celebration of equality and inclusion,” she said.

The shrinksleeves were printed by CCL Industries and applied by Accent Wine Packaging.

The former deputy chief of staff to the federal communications minister, Amanda Watson, has been appointed CEO of the Brewers Association of Australia (BAA).  Watson starts in the role on 14 July and replaces John Preston, who had been in the role for five years.

The Victorian government has invested $160,000 to support the sustainability and profitability of the state’s wine industry, matched by $240,000 from Wine Australia. The funds will help Wine Victoria to provide the wine industry with the knowledge, tools and resources needed to improve practices and outcomes.
