Amcor Flexibles has made its first string of printing investments in Europe to service healthcare companies with flexible printing.

An initial investment in two state-of-the-art printing presses will primarily serve the healthcare markets in the UK, Switzerland, and Germany.

A UV Flexo press will be installed at Amcor Flexibles in Switzerland, as well as a digital press at Amcor Flexibles in the UK, both of which are expected to be in operation in 2017, building on a prior investment in a new digital press in Spain.

The investments are expected to expand capacity as well as respond to market needs for digital printing.

The new investments reflect Amcor’s commitment to developing its European pharmaceutical printing capabilities, and the company has plans to invest further globally.
