Amcor has announced its acquisition of Sonoco's rigid plastics blowmoulding operations has been completed.
The $280 million acquisition was first announced on 2 September this year following a statement by Amcor that it would expand its rigid plastics division and allow the company to access US customers.

It generates annual sales of $210 million.
Amcor is anticipating growth in scale and capabilities for specialty container manufacturing.
