The series includes features tailored to food-grade facilities, such as food-grade grease options and enhanced bacteria filtration, which the company says extend equipment lifespan and improve effectiveness. According to SMC, its modular design reduces assembly time for clean air service units and offers a variety of configurations, including combinations of air filters, regulators, lubricators, and mist separators. The series also provides lockable on-off valves for added safety, along with compatibility with components like electronic proportional regulators and monitored air dump valves.

Robert Taylor, product specialist at SMC Corporation ANZ, stated, “We have spent the better part of two years introducing and rolling out the series, and we feel confident that it can meet the needs of even the most demanding factories. The AC-D series has been embraced by end users and leading OEMs across the country, thanks to its clear benefits to industry.”

Taylor highlighted that the range offers comprehensive modular options and variations to meet diverse customer requirements. He noted that it helps minimise pressure drops and supports flow metering, air-saving monitoring systems, and safety options. While SMC will continue servicing the predecessor series in the immediate future, Taylor advised customers to adopt the AC-D series for enhanced performance and functionality.
