Propak Industries has built its reputation as a successful and trusted packaging solutions company that delivers environmentally-responsible, world-class solutions to growers, packers and distribution centres around Australia.

Propak Industries is a family-owned sustainable packaging solutions company established in 1990 when a passionate and determined man named Garry Sandercock had a vision to build a company that would become a leading supplier of packaging and machinery, guided by a sustainable ideology, a spirit of innovation, and a deeply ingrained ethos of fostering enduring partnerships.

Ongoing investment in innovation, and a depth of knowledge gained from the farmers, growers and businesses Sandercock and his team have worked with in the 34 ensuing years, has seen Propak rise to top tier position it enjoys today.

Mushrooming business: Macro Wrap by Propak.

Operating across Australia and New Zealand, Propak says its legacy is defined by its “relentless pursuit of optimisation, cost reduction, and waste minimisation” – all values that continue to drive its every endeavour.

With a comprehensive portfolio encompassing cutting-edge machinery and consumables, Propak is dedicated to revolutionising packaging automation, while concurrently spearheading sustainable practices.

The company also understand the importance of continual education and developments, and through its membership with the Australian Packaging Covenant Organisation (APCO), it strives to maintain the 10 sustainable packaging principles that form the National Sustainable Packaging Guidelines.

For Propak’s expanding customer base, the company’s commitment to sustainability has enabled them to do their bit for the environment too, while at the same time increasing production efficiency and reducing costs.

The company’s MAS pallet wrappers and Macro Wrap have hit the mark for many happy customers. Costa Group’s technical manager for bananas and avocadoes, Matthew Oliver says, “We did a trial on the MAS350 with Macro Wrap and found the pallet was secured in less than one minute; downward pressure was maintained securing both the pallet and top cartons to reduce fruit bounce; ventilation was not impacted enough to create any hot spots; waste reduction was significant; and it was safer to apply and remove the Macro Wrap.” Not surprisingly, Costa Group now has several MAS350 Wrappers in use in its banana and avocado packing sheds.

Josh Franceschi of Avocado Collective says, “We have been using Propak Industries’ wrappers and Macro wrap for palletising our avocados for the past nine years for export and domestic with great success. Our overall pack costs on palletising has reduced by more than 50 per cent.”

These are just two examples from a long list of satisfied customers who commend the performance, ease of use, and cost savings that the Propak machines and consumables deliver.
