In the development of fermented products, including yogurts, kefirs, and plant-based alternatives, the transition from lab-scale formulation to large-scale production necessitates precision, traceability, and the ability to run multiple trials concurrently.

Traditional methods that limit R&D teams to processing only one batch at a time can restrict productivity and lengthen the development cycle.

The OMVE MPV206FE and MPV207FE multi-purpose process tanks for fermentation, available in ANZ from Technomik, are purpose-built to provide developers with a solution for complete, automated control over complex, simultaneous fermentation trials.

These systems allow for the safe processing of three or six different formulas overnight, maximising productivity without extending working hours.

The systems are designed with a Concurrent Trial architecture to ensure independent trial integrity.

Both the MPV206FE (three buckets) and the MPV207FE (six buckets) utilise individual water bath buckets, each having a capacity option of 5L or 10L, and each bucket is equipped with independent control via a touchscreen HMI.

The integrated software allows for the programming of precise pH set points, enabling automated, precise, and traceable fermentation that can run overnight.

Each bucket is equipped with agitators for homogeneous mixing, temperature sensors for accurate heating (up to 85°C), and pH sensors for exact monitoring. This setup continuously monitors all Critical Control Points (CCPs), ensuring that all fermentation runs are consistent and reproducible.

These features enable R&D teams to process different batches of yoghurt, sour cream, lassi, or protein-rich probiotic milk bases simultaneously.

The MPV206FE and MPV207FE systems provide a robust, automated platform that standardises the experimental phase of fermentation science, leading to highly consistent, traceable, and statistically reliable data for product scale-up.
