APPMA has strengthened its international footprint with a first-of-its-kind networking event at Foodtech Packtech in New Zealand, bringing together more than 60 Australian exhibitors, visitors and industry peers.
The event was designed to deepen trans-Tasman ties across the food and packaging technology sector and proved a resounding success, demonstrating both the appetite and value for stronger collaboration within the region.

APPMA’s presence at the show was strategic on several fronts: forging new partnerships with industry organisations, showcasing Australian members to a wider international market, and actively recruiting new members into the association’s growing network.
Importantly, Foodtech Packtech also provided the ideal platform to promote APPEX 2027 to a key international audience. The messaging reinforced APPEX as the premier processing and packaging event for the entire Australasian region, and an essential fixture for companies operating across the supply chain.
APPMA CEO Michael Moran said, “Taking our community to the world stage is a key part of our strategy. The event in New Zealand wasn’t just a networking function; it was a strategic move to open doors for our members, build valuable partnerships, and fly the flag for APPMA and APPEX on the international stage.”
In addition to APPMA’s presence at the networking function, more than 30 member companies showcased their capabilities on the Foodtech Packtech show floor. Exhibitors included Reynolds Group (recently acquired by Matthews Australasia), A&D Australasia, Aldus Tronics, Biotec Solutions, Beckhoff, Bosch Rexroth, Busch, Bürkert Fluid Control Systems, Close the Loop, Concetti Australia & NZ, Detpak, Dotmar Engineering Plastics, Esko Australia, Fibre King, Food Processing Equipment, HMPS Propac, ifm, Inspection Systems, J.L.
