The industrial internet of things (IIoT) is one of the hot topics at AUSPACK, as a group of technology developers presents the benefits of collaborative internet enabled solutions, and says educating the market will be key to its implementation.

Jason Bouyer, managing director of Balluff in Australia is on the Open IIoT stand, which represents the joint production of his company with Beckhoff Automation, Nord DriveSystems, SMC, and digital developer ZI-Argus.

Bouyer said, “IIoT represents a great opportunity for manufacturers to create smart production systems with hardware and the internet combining to create remarkable efficiencies.

“AUSPACK visitors can come along to the stand and gain a great understanding of the concept and the reality of what is now available and how it can enable their businesses drive efficiencies through connection and data.”

On the stand visitors can see combined IIoT technologies in a demo model which breaks down the workings of an IIoT solution. It showcases how one machine can integrate the hardware and software of various suppliers to create a user-friendly interface which the group says delivers real value and insight into a business.

Stand number is B237.
