Graphic Packaging International took home the Australian Partner of the Year award at Coca-Cola Amatil’s annual Australian Partner for Growth Awards.

Graphic Packaging also won the award for Quality, beating out other nominees O-I and Sugar Australia.

Packaging giant Orora won the award for Supply Continuity for the second year in a row. This year, CCA said Orora won for delivering more than 1.6 billion cans and ends to CCA over the year with an "almost perfect" quality score.

This is the fourth year CCA has held the awards in Australia. The company held the event virtually to protect the safety and wellbeing of employees and supply partners during the Covid-19 pandemic.

The Partner for Growth Awards celebrate ingenuity and the commitment of suppliers in helping CCA deliver innovation and results in sustainability, product development, business systems, and customer service. Categories include Customer Service; Supply Continuity; Quality; Competitive Advantage; Sustainability; Innovation and Growth; and Rookie of the Year.

CCA group managing director Alison Watkins acknowledged the significant challenges Covid-19 has presented businesses and the economy in 2020.

“The impact of Covid-19 in 2020 has provided an acute awareness of just how critical it is to have stable, efficient and resilient supply chains,” she said.

“I’d like to thank and congratulate all of the supply partners who contributed to Amatil’s strong performance in 2019, as it has helped to provide the solid foundation for us to navigate the current challenges of Covid-19. While the challenge continues, so does our committed partnership with customers and suppliers. Together we will emerge stronger and better than ever.

“While we weren’t celebrating in person this year my hope is the virtual Partner for Growth Awards delivered moments of happiness and possibilities for everyone who participated,” Watkins said.
