The 5100sqm headquarters at 260 Regency Road will house up to 240 employees from corporate functions and sales teams, including Detpak, PaperPak, Detmold Medical, and Cup & Carry. It will be located alongside Detmold’s existing manufacturing and warehousing facilities.

The design incorporates open-plan workspaces, meeting areas, end-of-trip facilities, on-site parking, and a café with an outdoor terrace. Sustainability measures such as rainfall harvesting, natural ventilation and lighting, and shaded design features will be integrated.

Detmold Group chief executive Sascha Detmold Cox described the headquarters as “purpose-built with sustainability, collaboration and employee wellbeing in mind”. She added, “Our new corporate home integrates contemporary design with environmentally-responsible solutions and an open-plan layout that supports collaboration and innovation.”

Bringing all staff under one roof, she said, would “help foster stronger connections, knowledge sharing, and a unified culture aligned with our core values.”

Construction will begin in June 2025, with completion scheduled for October 2026. Manufacturing will continue at Brompton in the short term, with plans to move those operations to Regency Park within five years.

Centina, a South Australian construction company, will lead the build, with architecture by Studio Nine.

Paul Nardinocchi, managing director at Centina, said the project would support the company’s local operations. “This partnership reflects our shared commitment to quality, innovation and sustainability and supports our continued growth as a local, South Australian family business,” he said.

John Galluccio, director at Studio Nine Architects, said the firm had worked closely with Detmold to ensure the new headquarters reflected the company's values. “Their vision has been realised as a refined, elegant building that forms part of a broader masterplan, bringing the business’s various divisions into close physical proximity,” he said.

Food & Drink Business

The team that shook up Australia’s cracker market segment is back, this time with the snack category in its sights. After selling Gourmet Food Holdings and brands including OB Finest and Olina’s Bakehouse to Mondēlez International in early 2021, the seasoned FMCG operators have launched SnackHQ and its first brand, ReFil.

Victorian food manufacturer and distributor, Katoomba Global Foods (KG Foods), has acquired Paris Creek Farms (PCF) from Maggie Beer Holdings (MBH), three years after the company first announced it would offload its dairy assets.

The latest research from IWSR has shown that overall growth is slowing in Asia Pacific’s beverage alcohol scene. A market that has previously been strongly driven by Australia is undergoing significant change as alcohol consumption declines, with emerging regions taking the lead.
