Professor Henrik von Scheel will headline Industrial Transformation Australia.

Travelling to Australia from Switzerland exclusively for Industrial Transformation Australia 2025, Scheel will reveal what will influence the success of Australia’s future in Industry 4.0 at his keynote at Sydney Olympic Park.

The session will cover areas of interest including, the paradigm shift of the Industry 4.0 evolutionary stages, key megatrends, and the influence of advance manufacturing in Australia.

“We are in one of the most disruptive periods in human history, which provides great opportunities to innovate and change the way we live for the better,” Scheel said.

“Australia is at a pivotal moment with the big question hanging over its head: Is Australia ready to lead in the Fourth Industrial Revolution or will it be left behind? I’m looking forward to exploring this question in July and connecting with the local industry.”

Mike Nissen, commercial director at Hannover Fairs Australia, organiser of Industrial Transformation Australia, said the dynamic program will have significant impacts for Australian industry.

“Professor von Scheel will both challenge and inspire our local sectors, providing a detailed understanding of what lies ahead and the key influences that will shape the future,” Nissen said.

“Having Industrial Transformation and CeMAT Australia co-located provides the opportunity for the full supply chain including manufacturing, warehousing, intralogistics and transport to gather in one place.

“We expect to have the entire industry in attendance as there will be so much to learn and engage with.”

Scheel will also be presenting on day two at the Processing & Packaging Pavilion – powered by APPMA, covering the latest trends.

The Pavilion will include leading manufacturers, distributors and importers of packing and processing machinery who are at the forefront of the food, beverage, pharma, e-commerce, chemicals and other manufacturing sectors.

“Both Industrial Transformation Australia and CeMAT Australia will cover key challenges and provide real solutions to support the growth and prosperity of vital industries that contribute greatly to the Australian economy,” Nissen added.

“We’ve made registration free to ensure it is accessible to the entire industry so everyone can be part of the conversations that will shape the future of manufacturing and logistics in Australia.”

Food & Drink Business

Maxum Foods says the appointment of Adrian Lochland as the company’s first CEO is a significant milestone in the company’s growth and evolution. Lochland has been at Maxum since 2021 as executive general manager of its Animal Nutrition division.

Australia has earned its stripes as a nation of committed snackers, but this love affair with snacks isn’t without its quirks. Mintel Food & Drink associate director, Cormac Henry, says its research shows while Australians are chasing healthier options, cravings for indulgent treats remains strong.

Bega Groups says following a 12-month review, the lack of a buyer and ongoing annual operating losses of $5-10 million are behind its decision to wind down and close peanut processing business, Peanut Company of Australia (PGA). Bega acquired the company in 2017.
