Maggie Beer has relaunched its range of gourmet foods in colourful new packaging.

Maggie Beer wanted to give a visual nod to the star ingredients in each of her products in the new look, so her company commissioned Adelaide-based advertising agency Jamshop to help with this objective.

"She wanted the packaging design to reflect her unwavering commitment to superior produce," a company spokesperson said.

Beer’s release of this season’s Extra Virgin Olive Oil will be the first of the range to be wearing the new look, appearing on shelves this week.

“My original food philosophy from all those years ago still stands today: to always cook from the heart, with seasonal ingredients at hand, never letting anything go to waste," Beer said.

"This is the basis that underpins all that we did in the early years of business, and all that I still hold dear now.

"I simply looked to the part of the story that has never changed – letting the produce shine.”

Food & Drink Business

Fonterra has announced Anna Palairet is the new chief operating officer, having acted in the role since June 2023. CEO Miles Hurrell says Palairet has “extensive experience in operational, customer, sustainability, and sales roles”.

Food & Drink Business editor Kim Berry's take on the big news stories this week, and what caught her eye overseas. How will the Future Made in Australia Act actually be delivered? Shanghai trials traffic light labelling, and Solar Food, making protein out of (virtually) nothing at all, opens its commercial scale facility (that's it in the pic).

Food Frontier’s industry leading annual alternative proteins conference, AltProteins 24, is on in Melbourne on 10 October, with early bird tickets now available.
