Following on from Part One of our ProPak Asia preview, we asked other key Aussie exhibitors to share what visitors can expect to see this week in Bangkok.

The Australian Pavilion at ProPak Asia, hosted by The Australian Packaging & Processing Machinery Association (APPMA), will allow Australian packaging and processing manufacturers and distributors to showcase their products to the Asian market.

The show runs from 14-17 June in Bangkok, Thailand, and the pavilion is in its second year.

Exhibitors will include HMPS, Inox Australia, OFS, Woolcool Australia, the APPMA, and the Australian Institute of Packaging (AIP) – and we reported on these companies last week.

BBC Technologies will also be exhibiting in the same area and APPMA member companies Fibre King, Heat and Control, and tna will have stands.

Here's what you can expect from them this year.

BBC Technologies' CURO-16 filling system

BBC Technologies will showcase its 16-head filling system on the stand, while playing videos of their latest technologies as well as customer testimonials, so that visitors can see their range of solutions for the Asean Region.

Fibre King is a 90-year-old engineering company, specialising in the design and manufacture of end of line packaging machinery. Fibre King produces case packers, palletisers, meat equipment and crate automation equipment for the food and beverage, pharmaceutical, meat, fresh produce and household and personal goods industries.

Fibre King's robotic solutions and VR

Fibre King will be sharing its robotic solutions which include palletising and de-palletising technology.

Fibre King claims to be able to intelligently program, integrate, and design safe solutions to suit a variety of industries, and will provide visitors with a Virtual Reality experience which allows them to experience one of its large-scale equipment solutions.

Horizontal motion conveyors

Over on the Heat and Control stand, the FastBack 260E and 90E will draw attention.

With slow-forward fast-back motion, FastBack conveyor systems safely convey even the most delicate products, while the 90E is a scale feed solution which provides a full 360-degree radial feeder pattern to the scale and eliminates starved weigh heads caused by inadequate product flow or hills and valleys.

Tna to showcase robag 3ci and intelli-flav oms 5

Tna will also be at the show with its robag FX 3ci: a rotary vertical, form, fill and seal (VFFS) packaging system.

Compact and easy-to-clean, this turnkey system is designed to package at top speeds from a single tube with triple rotary jaw action for a wide range of products.

The tna intelli-flav OMS 5 is an on-machine seasoning system that can provide both powder flavouring and liquid oil in a single drum to deliver consistent coverage and flavour to a wide range of products.

Visitors will also be able to speak to their experts about tna performance 5.0, a new approach to high-speed production line performance which comprises a new vertical packaging system, high-speed multi-head scale and case packer for flexible bags.

Also at the show, the APPMA will launch its 2017 Member Directory which includes detailed information on Australia’s leading packaging and processing machinery and allied components companies in Australia.

The Australian Institute of Packaging (AIP) will also launch its education and training courses for the Asian region at ProPak Asia.

Visit the AIP stand to find out about the Diploma in Packaging Technology, The Certificate in Packaging, The Master in Food & Packaging Innovation, the Certified Packaging Professional Qualification and much more.

The Australian Pavilion can be found in Hall 99 at ProPak Asia, which begins tomorrow.

Food & Drink Business

Fonterra has announced Anna Palairet is the new chief operating officer, having acted in the role since June 2023. CEO Miles Hurrell says Palairet has “extensive experience in operational, customer, sustainability, and sales roles”.

Food & Drink Business editor Kim Berry's take on the big news stories this week, and what caught her eye overseas. How will the Future Made in Australia Act actually be delivered? Shanghai trials traffic light labelling, and Solar Food, making protein out of (virtually) nothing at all, opens its commercial scale facility (that's it in the pic).

Food Frontier’s industry leading annual alternative proteins conference, AltProteins 24, is on in Melbourne on 10 October, with early bird tickets now available.
