At Interpack this week Italian packaging machine specialist Cama walked off with 'best in show' in the 2017 Rockwell Automation's Best Future Machine Awards.

This is a new awards program initiative from Rockwell Automation, judged by major worldwide end users, and established to highlight and reward outstanding machine technology and celebrate creativity and innovation within the packaging industry.

Cama's award-winning machine, the IF318, is an innovative monoblock “pitch-less” integrated platform for the forming, loading and closing of boxes or cartons from corrugated or solid board materials

PKN stopped by the Cama stand at Interpack and spoke to Australian GM Roy Collins, who said the IF318 machine is fully Industry 4.0 compliant, and has attracted a great deal of attention on the stand from a number of big brand owners.

Cama was short-listed in all five award categories and ultimately was also voted Best in Show.

Food & Drink Business

Owner of McGuigan and Nepenthe wines, Australian Vintage, recorded a one per cent drop in sales revenue to $257, and while it saw cash flow improvement in FY25, it remained behind company targets.

A further $28.7 million has been allocated to successful applicants through the federal Industry Growth Program, including several developing technologies to support the food system. The latest round included Blue Carbon, Provectus Algae, and Uncharted Waters.

Endeavour Group’s net profit after tax fell 16 per cent to $426 million in FY25. While results were buoyed by the Hotel business, retail sales fell to $10 billion, reflecting subdued consumer spending in retail liquor and supply chain disruption during the peak Christmas trading period.
