The AIP has expanded on its ProPak Philippines offerings, adding a third educational course, the 5th edition of the annual Philippines Packaging Forum.

This joins two mini training courses already announced previously.

In addition, the AIP will be showcasing winners from the latest round of the Australasian Packaging Innovation & Design (PIDA) Awards and will have a stand at the show.

Philippines Packaging Forum: Thursday 13 February

The AIP, in partnership with Informa Markets, will be holding the 5th edition of the annual Philippines Packaging Forum on Thursday 13 February, alongside ProPak Philippines 2025.

The Philippines Packaging Forum will bring together 16x local, regional and global packaging experts from the World Packaging Organisation (WPO), the AIP, the Asian Packaging Federation (APF), United Nations Industrial Development Organisation (UNIDO), the Active & Intelligent Packaging Industry Association (AIPIA), the Packaging Institute of Philippines (PIP), San Miguel Yamamura, Amcor Flexibles, GSI Philippines, PEFC Asia-Pacific, UPM Raflatac, Mitsui Chemicals, Tetra Pak, Futamura Australia, Nanolabs, Acviss Technologies and Sealed Air.

Topics that will be discussed will include sustainable packaging design, finding the balance between packaging waste and food waste, the circular economy for packaging, global and regional packaging design standards, trends and innovations for mono material packaging,  recycled content and recycle-ready packaging, the shift towards alternative fibre materials that are recyclable, local and global regulations that are changing the landscape of packaging design including Extended Producer Responsibility, eco-modulation and mandated design standards, the role that packaging plays in minimising food loss and waste, why data is key to new regulations, and more.

All attendees will receive a Certificate of Attendance and CPD points towards attaining the Certified Packaging Professional (CPP) program.

Global yoghurt company, Chobani, has completed a $1 billion (US$650 million) equity capital raise as it plans to expand its manufacturing operations in the US. The raise was advised by law firm Gibson Dunn.

Treasury Wine Estates (TWE) says it is not in a position to revise its guidance for FY16 due to lower-than-expected performance in China and distribution issues in California. The company said it was unlikely to meet FY26 depletion targets for Penfolds in China.

Now, the company is investing more than $1 million to expand its production capabilities and support new product innovation.
