Sydney studio Boldinc Brand Innovation has created a minimalist pack design for the latest premium Australian cuvée from Pernod Ricard Winemakers, named Jacob.

The new sparkling wine label is printed by Multi-Colour Corporation on Tintoretto Black Pepper Ultra, coupled with gold foiling and an emboss on the Jacob name.

Boldinc Brand Innovation Sydney creative director Chris Baker told PKN that with new entrants rapidly coming and going in the growing premium sparkling segment, retailers were “crying-out for a disruptive offer that would shake up the category”.

"Pernod Ricard Winemakers has a longstanding reputation for producing great Australian wine to suit our Australian laid-back lifestyle. However, when the opportunity arose to create a premium sparkling wine for the evolving needs of their drinkers, we needed to create a brand that stood out, but also reflected the modernity and expertise of the team behind the wine” said Baker.

“In a cluttered environment built on noise and visual disruption, we chose another path – quiet confidence.”

“Balancing the modernity of stripped-back sparkling codes with a clear link to our lineage, Boldinc created an entirely new offer, showcasing Jacob's elegant complexity without any of the limitations of traditional sparkling wine.”

"Jacob - sometimes it’s what you don’t say that makes you stand out."

The new Jacob sparkling wine is available to purchase for RRP $30.00 at Dan Murphy’s, First Choice Liquor and Independent Retailers across Australia.
