The Pentawards annual competition has shortlisted 20 entries from Australia for 2024, marking a 54 per cent increase from the 13 projects shortlisted in 2023. This global platform, dedicated to recognising excellence in packaging design, announced over 700 shortlisted entries from 62 countries.

The majority of the Australian entries fall into the Beverage category, with additional projects in Body Health and Beauty, Professional Concepts, and Sustainable Design.

Notable entries include six designs from drinks branding specialists Denomination, which secured four Pentawards prizes last year.

Collingwood-based branding agency Blurr Bureau is also shortlisted for its work on The Department of Bed Intentions, a brand that evolved from a single sex product to a broader range focusing on enhancing the time spent in bed safely and enjoyably.

Other Australian highlights include Vietnamese coffee brand Fat Miilk by Porter Packaging, Bloc Bottled Cocktails, and Oceanic Formula N’s face cream presentation packaging by Eclectic M.

Head of Pentawards Adam Ryan stated, “Each year the calibre of entries from Australia rises and this year the shortlist clearly reflects that. The global scale of our competition is one part of what makes it so special, and we are always excited to see the talent and expertise of Australian entries.”

The winner will be announced at the Pentawards Gala Ceremony at Magazine London on Friday 25 October.
