Sydney-based studio Tweak has worked with Reef for the packaging design of its latest body coconut shimmer sun tan oil, as the product joins the body glitter and shimmer trend.

Reef Shimmer is one of the first in the sun tan oil category to be packed in a clear, plastic bottle, while keeping the well-known bottle shape consumers recognise with the Reef brand.

Tweak senior designer Shane King told PKN the clear bottle provides show through to hero the glittery, metallic product.

“This shows consumers the glitter effect that will be applied to their skin. The gold metallic product and black label with gold details also communicate a modern and luxurious look within the sun tan oil category,” said King.

The simple, black panel aims to add a premium cue and “helps to differentiate this product from the core range,” said King, as well as highlighting key information about the new product.

Reef Shimmer is now available in 125ml packs for RRP $16.99.
