Functional drink brand Bodie’z is bringing back neon to the shelf, working with Sydney-based consumer branding agency Our Revolution for the branding and packaging design of its new range of isotonic beverages.

This is the second time Bodie’z has collaborated with the Our Revolution, previously teaming up for the redesign and branding of the brand’s original range of protein water drinks to help set a platform on an international scale, as well as enthuse retailers.

The new Bodie’z all-natural isotonic and protein waters feature clear labelling with bold typography in bright colours, and clear messaging of its functional benefits.

The bottles were supplied by Visy and are made from PET recyclable plastic, while Labelmakers printed the labels, which have an all-over gloss varnish.

Our Revolution client services director Diana Yako told PKN the brand was refreshed from Bodie’z Protein Water to Bodie’z, allowing for potential future growth if the brand wanted to stretch into other product formats.

“We explored and evolved pack architecture to aid with pack navigation – brand was elevated, followed by product descriptor and range, key selling points were also made clearer to help communicate the benefits of the products,” Yako said.

“Our partnership worked seamlessly, with our similar philosophies to building a brand providing an ideal platform to help shape and guide Bodie’z towards achieving their goals.”

Bodie’z founder Bodie Lazar said the team was thrilled with the new design and has taken the brand to the next level and increased consumer awareness.

“Our Revolution has become a part of our team, understanding our ambitions, vision and story,” Lazar said.

“Their approach to brand strategy and creative direction has enabled us to create a revitalised brand that we can continue to leverage to gain market share through both our existing products, and our upcoming NPD.”

Food & Drink Business

International multi-protein food business, Hilton Foods, has signed an agreement with CleanCo Queensland to have its Brisbane facility fully powered by renewable energy.

Our Top 100 2025 edition of Food & Drink Business magazine is more than the annual flagship Top 100 Report. Industry leaders reflect on the year past and the one ahead, we provide our annual news review, M&A wrap-up, and all the executive moves, and a Roman-inspired sports drink, Posca, is our final Rising Star for 2025.

A blend of salt, red wine vinegar, and water – known as Posca – was the ‘original sports drink’, helping to keep the soldiers of the Roman Empire marching up to 30 kilometres per day. Keira Joyce spoke with Posca Hydrate co-founders, Merrick Watts and Ed Stening, about reviving a 2000-year-old functional beverage for the modern healthy lifestyle.
