St Andrews Beach Brewery has teamed up with The Edison Agency for the launch of its new alcoholic seltzer range, Tidal Artesian Seltzer, bringing summer to the shelf with its coastal-inspired design.

The brand story, name identity system and packaging design were led by The Edison Agency team to help the Tidal range sit independently to St Andrews Beach Brewery’s established beer portfolio.

Orora Beverage supplied the aluminium cans, which are recyclable, and feature a crisp white finish and an all-over matt varnish on pack.

The Edison Agency design director Brian Rodrigo Llagas told PKN the colour palette of the design continues the coastal narrative of St Andrews Beach Brewery, helping to reinforce colours of its parent brand while creating its own identity.

“Inspired by the beautiful coastal environment of St Andrews Beach and endless sunny days of the Australian summer, Tidal Artesian Seltzer is a refreshing tribute to summer,” Llagas said.

“The white, navy and splashes of colour are reminiscent of bleached timber on the beachside, the sun, sand and sea, and the subtle flavours of the product coming through."

“The design outcomes are minimalist and crisp; the light and contemporary design captures the sensory flavour cues of the artisan seltzer – bright white, zesty and refreshing. The summers are long down in St Andrews Beach; they are fun, hot, and a reminder of what life is really about: surfing, good food, and friends.”

The new alcoholic Tidal Artisan Seltzers are naturally brewed using water from the St Andrews Beach brewery underground spring, offering consumers a low sugar, low alcohol alternative to traditional beverage options, such as wine, cider, and vodka.
