Burgopak has added a lighting element to its value-add packaging portfolio with the HALO device, designed to illuminate the product and enhance the unboxing experience.

The HALO unit is a small, retrofit system with two LEDs powered by a battery that switches on when the box is opened, projecting light onto the product to highlight colour, surface texture and reflective qualities.

The device is designed to work with almost any opening mechanism and can be clipped into packaging, allowing the rest of the materials to be recycled. Burgopak says it can be used across jewellery, cosmetics, metal bank cards and spirits packaging applications, or repurposed for other uses such as illuminating a drawer or doll’s house. The company also invites customers to share creative ways they have repurposed the device.

Burgopak confirms the HALO device has passed regulatory testing and is commercially available.
