BioPak is reintroducing its limited-edition OzHarvest Christmas Cup, using coffee sales in November to raise funds for Australians facing food insecurity.

All 8oz and 12oz Art Series BioCups are available in single and double wall and will feature a festive design with a QR code allowing customers to donate directly to OzHarvest. BioPak will also donate five per cent of profits from all Christmas Cup sales during the month. According to the company, every dollar raised helps OzHarvest deliver two meals to people in need.

“Christmas is a time of generosity and connection,” said Richard Fine, co-founder at BioPak. “By simply enjoying a coffee, people can fund meals for those who need them most.”

The cups are certified industrially compostable, aligning with BioPak’s aim of supporting a circular economy.

Hally Lara, joint head of impact at OzHarvest, said the partnership helps raise awareness and funding at a key time of year. “We’re excited to see the return of these festive cups, which not only brighten up cafes but also provide a simple way for everyone to make a real difference,” she said.

The collaboration between BioPak and OzHarvest began in 2013 and continues to focus on creating positive social and environmental outcomes.

Food & Drink Business

International multi-protein food business, Hilton Foods, has signed an agreement with CleanCo Queensland to have its Brisbane facility fully powered by renewable energy.

Our Top 100 2025 edition of Food & Drink Business magazine is more than the annual flagship Top 100 Report. Industry leaders reflect on the year past and the one ahead, we provide our annual news review, M&A wrap-up, and all the executive moves, and a Roman-inspired sports drink, Posca, is our final Rising Star for 2025.

A blend of salt, red wine vinegar, and water – known as Posca – was the ‘original sports drink’, helping to keep the soldiers of the Roman Empire marching up to 30 kilometres per day. Keira Joyce spoke with Posca Hydrate co-founders, Merrick Watts and Ed Stening, about reviving a 2000-year-old functional beverage for the modern healthy lifestyle.
