Sydney-based studio Squad Ink has collaborated with Australian artist Heidi Willis for the label work on the latest Archie Rose spirit, the Harvest Series 2019 Poorman’s Orange Gin.

The label was printed by Multi Colour Corporation on HP Indigo WS6000 and uses Pure Impact label stock. The printing process involved CMYK print with gloss build as well as an embossed logo and a matt varnish to seal.

Squad Ink director Terry Squadrito said the Harvest Series champions local growers and producers, with the first and latest of the series seamlessly binding NSW grower, Peter Dryden's rare and unusual citrus with Willis’s passion for native flora.

“For over five years, our partnership with Sydney distillery Archie Rose has allowed us to delve deep into their ethos for supporting local, to create signature and limited ranges that truly hero the Archie Rose brand and the makers behind it,” Squadrito said.

“The 360-degree label beautifully showcases the leading ingredient, Poorman’s orange in all its glory.”

“The label stock ‘Pure Impact’ uses a grain emboss that mimics the texture of an Orange and complements the water colour artwork as well as creating a premium, tactile finish.”

The limited edition Harvest Series 2019 Poorman's Orange Gin is available on the Archie Rose online store for RRP $89.00.

Food & Drink Business

International multi-protein food business, Hilton Foods, has signed an agreement with CleanCo Queensland to have its Brisbane facility fully powered by renewable energy.

Our Top 100 2025 edition of Food & Drink Business magazine is more than the annual flagship Top 100 Report. Industry leaders reflect on the year past and the one ahead, we provide our annual news review, M&A wrap-up, and all the executive moves, and a Roman-inspired sports drink, Posca, is our final Rising Star for 2025.

A blend of salt, red wine vinegar, and water – known as Posca – was the ‘original sports drink’, helping to keep the soldiers of the Roman Empire marching up to 30 kilometres per day. Keira Joyce spoke with Posca Hydrate co-founders, Merrick Watts and Ed Stening, about reviving a 2000-year-old functional beverage for the modern healthy lifestyle.
