French skincare expert Clarins has reinforced its commitment to “responsible beauty” with the trialling of a new in-store initiative for recycling its products packaging.

As part of the launch of its new Cleansers & Toning Lotions range, customers are invited to visit a Clarins counter (at selected locations) to deposit any full-sized empty makeup or skincare product in exchange for a trial size of a product from the new range.

Clarins will accept empties from any brand and these will be responsibly recycled under its Return. Recycle. Rejoice! initiative.

The initiative has been animated in-store with a series of intricate 3D paper art dioramas by Australian artist James Gordon, the design inspired by Le Domaine Clarins – the brand’s very own organic farm in the French Alps.

A protected site of 80,000 hectares, Le Domaine Clarins uses traditional, environmentally conscious production methods to cultivate plants used in Clarins products.

Created with the environment in mind, the packaging for the new Cleansing & Toning Lotions range is produced without external or outer packaging cartons, the tubes made from 25 per cent recycled plastic.

Customers can participate in this recycling initiative, as well as view James Gordon’s designs at major department store locations across Australia.

The Return. Recycle. Rejoice! initiative will run until Sunday, 14 February 2021. For more details on the initiative, click here.
