VIDEO INTERVIEW: PKN spoke with Anthony Dalleore, general manager of XSYS Australia, about the company’s growing presence in the local market and its latest technology developments.

Dalleore described XSYS as one of the world’s leading print specialists focused on the flexographic and packaging sectors, with four major manufacturing sites across the US and Europe, and operations in 20 countries.

“We are getting a tremendous amount of momentum in Australia,” Dalleore said. “In a short period, we’ve been successful in positioning several of our award-winning XSYS flow lines into some of the major trade shows in Australia.”

He said adoption of the company’s technology is helping trade shops, printers, and brand owners “push the boundaries of flexo” by printing faster, cleaner and more consistently. The company’s Rotec sleeves have also become a mainstay in the region for their durability and precision.

Discussing the standout features of the ThermoFlex and Catena systems, Dalleore described the ThermoFlex as “the imaging engine or the workhorse” of the system, noting it is the only unit in the market with a dual-head laser, providing flexibility and reliability. Combined with the Catena plate processing line and the Catena LED exposure unit, the setup offers a fully automated, touch-free workflow.

“With our ProServer monitoring service, customers can achieve optimal uptime, predictive maintenance, and the flexibility to scale up their operation as their business grows,” Dalleore said.

At Label Expo, XSYS launched the ThermoFlex Edge, its third-generation laser technology. Dalleore said the system “was engineered to outperform any laser currently in the marketplace from both the speed and output perspective”, delivering up to 8.5 square metres per hour when paired with XSYS’s woodpecker and nano surface screeningtechnologies.

Looking ahead, Dalleore said XSYS will continue to drive productivity improvements through innovation, while maintaining a focus on sustainability and environmental performance.
