Ultra Labels & Flexpack has become the first company in ANZ to invest in the HP Indigo V12 Digital Press, a landmark moment for digital label production in the region.

The announcement was made during Labelexpo Europe 2025 in Barcelona, where the V12 has been in the spotlight for its speed, efficiency and ability to handle high-volume work.

According to Currie Group, HP Indigo’s long-standing ANZ distributor, the investment marks “a new era for Ultra, expanding their capacity, driving faster turnaround, and delivering outstanding quality across labels and flexible packaging.” Already running multiple HP Indigo presses, Ultra’s addition of the V12 “adds a new level of speed and capability that will redefine what’s possible for their customers.”

The HP Indigo V12, powered by LEPx technology, prints at 120 metres per minute and is positioned as a digital complement to flexo. By cutting waste and setup time, it enables converters to increase efficiency and responsiveness while retaining the flexibility of digital.

HP Indigo has reported record customer runs of more than one million linear metres per month on the press. Swedish converter Nordvalls, which is now installing its second V12, has described the platform as transformative for efficiency and scalability.

Currie Group said it is proud to support Ultra on this milestone, providing the local expertise, service and support needed to maximise the value of the next-generation technology.

The move underscores Ultra’s commitment to innovation and highlights Asia Pacific’s growing role in the global shift from analogue to digital label and packaging production.
