Aldus Graphics has appointed industry veteran Shaun Pullen as its general manager for South East Asia. He will be based in Malaysia to serve the whole region.

Pullen will focus on furthering Aldus Graphics' international reach, by representing the Mark Andy suite of products in the South East Asian market, along with Aldus Graphics' extensive range of associated consumables, ink and foil.

Frank Floriano, CEO of Aldus, said, "This is a key strategic move for Aldus – to further increase our presence in the Asia-Pacific region. This appointment shows our commitment, and allows us to provide a total solutions partner approach to printers and converters, which is crucial to creating a positive customer experience."

Prior to his appointment Pullen spent a year as director of sales for Flexcon for India, the Middle East and Africa, and three years as Mark Andy sales director for the Asia Pacific market before he joined Flexcon. He was also the Rotometrics SE Asia vice president for business development and technology for eight years. He has 30 years' experience in the region.

Entries are now open for the annual Melbourne Royal Australian Food Awards. Open to commercial food producers of all sizes, it is one of the largest programs of its kind. 

Victorian brewery, Bodriggy Brewing Co, is the first brewery in the state to achieve carbon-neutral certification and only the second in Australia to do so. The independent Abbotsford-based brewery achieved certification under the federal government’s Climate Active program.

According to Rabobank data, Australian consumers are facing higher chocolate prices heading into Easter, with retail chocolate prices up 8.8 per cent on the previous year as global cocoa prices soar.
