A B Graphic International (ABG), represented in ANZ by Currie Group, is expanding its presence in the fast-growing flexible packaging sector, following a strong showing at major European trade fairs and key developments in its FlexPack division.

Leading print finishing equipment manufacturer A B Graphic International (ABG) is strengthening its foothold in the flexible packaging market through a series of strategic moves, including a prominent presence at international trade fairs, new product demonstrations, and a leadership appointment.

Following a successful showcase at Labelexpo Europe, ABG highlighted its growing FlexPack capabilities at FachPack in Nürnberg, Germany (23–25 September) and the K Show in Düsseldorf, Germany (8–15 October).

At FachPack, ABG demonstrated its shrink-sleeve Seaming Rewinder, with technical experts available to discuss applications and system performance. At the K Show, the Galaxy GS-24 TSG pouch-making machine was a central feature, drawing strong interest with live demonstrations that showcased its precision and versatility.

The events underscored ABG’s integrated approach to flexible packaging, which combines its established engineering expertise with Galaxy’s pouch technology. This synergy continues to strengthen the FlexPack division’s position as a key contender in the evolving flexible packaging landscape.

In a move to further drive market development, ABG has appointed Vicky Roberts as global business development sales lead for ABG FlexPack. Roberts will spearhead new business initiatives, oversee international sales activities, and support ongoing innovation within the division.

As part of its customer engagement and innovation strategy, ABG will also hold live demonstrations of the Galaxy GS-20 pouch-making machine at its FlexPack Centre of Excellence in Girona, Spain, from 22–23 October. Experts from ABG and Galaxy will guide visitors through the pouch-production process and discuss the latest advancements in technology and applications.

Commenting on the company’s progress, ABG global sales director Matt Burton said the response to its FlexPack offering across recent events had been exceptional. “With a dedicated team, a global sales lead in place and our new Centre of Excellence in Girona, we’re in a fantastic position to accelerate growth in this market. The interest we’ve seen so far confirms that our customers are ready for innovative, high-quality flexible packaging solutions – and ABG is ready to deliver them,” he said.
