In a strategic collaboration, the Australian Packaging and Processing Machinery Association (APPMA) has joined forces with Hannover Fairs Australia (HFA), a subsidiary of Deutsche Messe AG. The partnership aims to establish a new pavilion within CeMAT and Industrial Transformation Australia 2025, scheduled from 22-24 July at the Dome, Sydney Olympic Park.

"We are extremely pleased to be working with APPMA, Australasia’s Association for the Processing and Packaging Industry," said Mike Nissen, commercial director at HFA.

"This collaboration with APPMA promises to offer not only their member base but other industry participants the opportunity to showcase their equipment, services, and technology to the entire value chain."

As a major industry partner, APPMA will host a Processing & Packaging Pavilion at the event. This pavilion will highlight leading manufacturers, distributors, and importers of packaging and processing machinery who are advancing their businesses through innovation and digitalisation. Key sectors served include food, beverage, pharma, e-commerce, chemicals, and other manufacturing industries.

"As Australia’s largest association for the processing and packaging industry, we are excited to collaborate with HFA, at CeMAT and Industrial Transformation Australia in 2025," said Michael Moran, CEO of APPMA.

"This partnership provides us with an opportunity to support APPMA members and the wider processing and packaging industry. We’re excited to engage with the sector in NSW and provide a platform to showcase new and innovative products, machinery, services, and digital technologies that deliver quality, productivity, and sustainability improvements across the processing and packaging supply chain. This collaboration also provides a timely and geographically complementary opportunity to support members and the industry between APPEX shows."

The event will also feature a dedicated day within the three-day Industrial Transformation Ideas Arena program, curated by APPMA. This program will focus on the technologies transforming the processing and packaging industry, showcasing innovative ideas and capabilities that represent future growth in manufacturing.

Special member benefits have been included in the agreement, reflecting APPMA’s ongoing support and promotion of the wider processing and packaging industry.
