Australian automation specialist Foodmach has been appointed exclusive partner for ACTIW Intralogistics and Joloda Hydraroll across Australia and New Zealand, strengthening its position as a turnkey provider of factory-to-freight automation solutions.

The partnership enables Foodmach to deliver full ‘pack to dock’ automation, combining its end-of-line packaging integration with ACTIW and Joloda's One Shot Loading technology, giving manufacturers and logistics operators access to automated truck, trailer and container loading technology designed to improve workplace safety and efficiency.
Expanding capabilities in intralogistics
The appointment follows Joloda Hydraroll’s acquisition of Finnish automated loading pioneer ACTIW, creating what the companies describe as the world’s most advanced loading technology group. Their systems are reported to be capable of reducing loading times by up to 50 per cent, cutting forklift use and labour requirements by as much as 80 per cent, and minimising dock congestion and injury risks.

For Foodmach, the partnership extends its turnkey automation offer. The company will provide system design, project engineering, installation and ongoing support to Australian and New Zealand manufacturers, logistics providers and warehousing operators.
Barton Jory, automated loading sales manager (Asia Pacific) at Joloda Hydraroll Group, said Foodmach’s reputation for automation expertise and integration experience made it an ideal partner for the region.
“Foodmach’s strong relationships with multinational FMCG and beverage producers, combined with its track record in unit load handling and turnkey delivery, position it to bring our automated trailer loading solutions to market with confidence,” Jory said.
Foodmach CEO Rob Niggl said the addition of ACTIW and Joloda technology complements the company’s end-to-end packaging and intralogistics offer.
“With growing demand for safer, faster and more efficient intralogistics, we can now offer customers full-line automation from pack to dock,” Niggl said.
The announcement comes as manufacturers face increasing pressure to optimise workflows, address labour shortages and improve site safety – particularly around loading docks, which are traditionally high-risk areas.
Foodmach believes it’s a “gamechanger for packaging line efficiency”, especially for ANZ FMCG operations under pressure to improve safety around loading docks, reduce the number of docks required and increase throughput.
Global installation
Unilever recently introduced Turkey's first fully automated loading system for non-modified trailers, developed by ACTIW Intralogistics and integrated by LodaMaster. The installation eliminates the need for trailer modifications, making it compatible with spot trucks and variable fleets. The system features trailer-independent operation and fully automated pallet loading, demonstrating the technology’s adaptability across global FMCG supply chains.
