The AIP presented the new ‘Future of Flexible Packaging’ training course this week in Melbourne to a packed room of delegates eager to learn from 30-year veteran Joe Foster, MD of OF Packaging.

Foster's extensive knowledge on all things flexible made the course engaging and informative, with thought-provoking the questions from the group of 35 delegates making the session interactive and dynamic.

Attendees came from a diverse range of companies including Saputo Dairy Australia, Natures Organics, Snack Brands, Coles, Patties Foods, McCormick Foods, McCain Foods, Manildra, Chobani, Suntory Coffee, Ridley, Star Stuff Group, Visy, Result Packaging, AESON Material, Qenos, Currie Group, Zip-Pak, Orora, Selpak, Multivac and more.

The ‘Future of Flexible Packaging’ training course will be road-showed across Australia, New Zealand and Asia over the next 12 months.

Western Australian marine science solutions company, SeaStock, has secured a $740,000 matched co-investment with Australia’s Food and Beverage Accelerator (FaBA) to develop functional ingredients from seaweed.

Mudgee-based winemaker, Lowe Family Wine Co., has installed a landmark $850,000 solar and battery system, developed by SPS Solar + Water. With this project, the company has become one of the first wineries in Australia to operate entirely off-grid.
