The Australian Packaging and Processing Machinery Association (APPMA) had a successful time at the Modern Manufacturing Expo (MME), locking in new membership and prospective partners, and fielding enquiries about the upcoming APPEX 2024.

The MME, which took place from 20-21 September, was established as a platform for innovation in manufacturing across all sectors, therefore attracting a combination of machinery/technology/printing equipment and IT providers.

For APPMA, the objectives for the event were clear, according to CEO Michael Moran, who said, "We are developing APPMA's recognition within the manufacturing sector and presence in NSW, while reinforcing APPMA's position as a leading national association for the processing and packaging industry."

"It also allowed APPMA to develop NSW industry, business and government networking contacts and to explore opportunities to improve member services," Moran said. "It is fair to say the event was very successful and busy, meeting with members and prospective partners, handling APPEX enquiries and conference participation.

Moran confirmed APPMA will participate again at the Expo in 2023, scheduled for 20-21 September.
