The AIP has supported Foodbank Victoria again this year by packing 16,705kg of food orders for charity.

Members helped pick and pack online orders and mixed grocery boxes at Foodbank’s Yarraville facility, supporting 23 charities including the Salvation Army, Asylum Seeker Resource Centre, Uniting Care, and Hope City Mission.

According to Nerida Kelton, executive director AIP, the food packed is the equivalent of approximately 30,100 meals, which would feed a family of four with three meals a day for just under seven years.

“The AIP is looking forward to running the same program again in 2020 and also introducing a NSW version, in addition to the successful Queensland hamper packaging program that runs every Christmas,” she said.
