Cermex has integrated a new solution for collating products on its shrink-wrappers in order to create honeycombed packs.


The new staggered bottle configurations offer many advantages for both bottlers and their customers in terms of packaging stability, originality and automation as well as the accrued economic and ecological benefits.


Cermex says honeycombed packs offer great opportunities in terms of design and promotional marketing thanks to the multitude of pack shapes possible. The originality of more attractive pack displays on supermarket shelves contributes to boosting sales, while also offering improved pack stability and rigidity.

Honeycombed packs can be adapted to all types of cylindrical products from 0.25 to 1.5L where large product collations are required (such as water, soft drinks and juices or certain food products).


To meet such requirements, Cermex has integrated a solution to equip both existing and future ranges of shrink-wrappers, TS as well as VersaFilm, for the two most attractive types of honeycombed packs in terms of cost and stability.


Fitted within the collating flight bar system, between the selecting system and the lapping module, the equipment requires no machine extension and is merely composed of mechanical adjustments designed to ensure quick implementation and simplified functioning. In addition, this mechanical device requires no extra power consumption.
