The AIP and LATMA will run a joint technical dinner on 3 June at Box Hill Golf Club in Victoria, with speakers from Food Standards Australia-New Zealand (FSANZ) and Authenticateit.

FSANZ GM Dean Stockwell will speak about the importance of food packaging in food regulation, focusing on its role in providing essential information to consumers. He will also discuss FSANZ’s current work in assessing risk associated with food packaging interactions.

Authenticateit CEO Gennady Volchek will present a paper on Establishing Track & Trace: Serialisation and talk about how to gain complete traceability and enable authentication.

Built on GS1 EPCIS global standards, the Authenticateit platform is a serialisation and track and trace solution operated by brands via the back-end of the Authenticateit platform, allowing them to manage their brand protection, regulatory compliance and supply chain integrity. The front end, the free Authenticateit smartphone app, enables consumers to check product authenticity, safety, recall status, warranty information and access further information about the product. Gennady will demonstrate how to incorporate a serialisation and track and trace solution into your business.
